ACOFP '23 CME Information 

The ACOFP 60th Annual Convention & Scientific Seminars may be supported by independent educational grants from ineligible companies. Complete information will be provided to participants prior to the activity.  

Overall Education Objectives 

  • Evaluate new, revised and standard-of-care treatment approaches for health conditions seen by family medicine physicians. 
  • Analyze how issues related to bias, discrimination, microaggressions, race and racism continue to act as barriers to a healthy and just society.
  • Participate in an environment of peer networking and collaboration.
  • Illustrate how to perform osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) and specific medical procedures in a multitude of case-based situations. 

Accreditation and Credit Designations  

ACOFP is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

ACOFP is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

ACOFP designates this live activity for a maximum of 50 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report continuing medical education (CME) credits commensurate with the physician’s participation in this program.  

ACOFP designates this live activity for a maximum of 50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

In accordance with the rules of the AOA and ACCME, all convention planners, speakers, moderators and poster presenters are required to disclose any conflicts they may have prior to the activity. If bias, actual or perceived, occurs during a session, attendees are encouraged to address such bias during the question-and-answer period following and/or in the activity evaluation. 

Annual convention contributors are required to disclose all financial relationships with ineligible companies. Relationship types may include the following: employment, consultancy, equity ownership, research funding, honoraria, patents and royalties, speakers’ bureau, membership on an entity’s board of directors or advisory committee, and any other financial relationship. 

ACOFP is required to review all disclosed relationships to determine which are relevant and then work with the applicable contributors to mitigate the relevant financial relationships. All relevant financial relationships will be disclosed prior to the start of the activity. 

Grievance Policy 

All grievances should be emailed to acofp@acofp.org with the title “Formal Grievance During ACOFP2023 Annual Convention” and specify the nature of the grievance and any particulars. Initially, all grievances should be directed to the ACOFP CME Program Advisory Committee. The committee chair will review all grievances and discuss them with the full committee and issue a reply to the emailing party, carbon copying acofp@acofp.org.  

If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response, they may then notify the AOA Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA at: 142 E. Ontario St., Chicago, IL 60611-2864.
