Get Involved With ACOFP

Whether you are interested in conference program development, advocacy, OMT, women’s leadership, health & wellness, practice management, awards (and more!), we have opportunities to get involved in ACOFP—even outside the path of standard volunteerism. Whatever your niche or passion, you have the opportunity to forge your own path within ACOFP!

Featured Reminder

It's time to renew your membership! Stay involved in ACOFP, and take advantage of these leadership opportunities, by renewing your dues by February 14, 2024.

Traditional Leadership

Congress of Delegates

The ACOFP Congress of Delegates is ACOFP’s legislative body, composed of appointed members from each affiliate or state society. It elects new officers and members to serve on the Board of Governors. Congress meets each spring at the ACOFP Annual Convention & Scientific Seminars.

ACOFP Committees & Work Groups

Find your niche in the osteopathic family medicine profession! Joining an ACOFP committee allows you the opportunity to explore different areas of interest and make a difference for your fellow—and future—physicians. Applications will open for the 2025–2026 year in the fall of 2024.

  • Volunteer to join a national committee or work group

Board of Governors

Lead on a national level by joining the ACOFP Board of Governors. Applications will open in late June. If you have any questions, please contact Annie DeVries at

Thought Leadership

ACOFP has a number of engagement opportunities outside of traditional leadership pathways. Whether you’re interested in submitting content, or becoming a specialty peer reviewer, find ways to contribute to thought leadership with ACOFP:

Recognition & Engagement

ACOFP's awards program recognizes exceptional members and their commitment to upholding osteopathic values. Help us celebrate merit, dedication and leadership by applying for or nominating an ACOFP member for one of our awards:

Additional opportunities for engagement, such as signing onto advocacy call-to-action campaigns and participating in observance/recognition campaigns, may also be available throughout the year.
