JOIN THE AUXILIARY
No one gets by on his or her own—especially during osteopathic medical school and residency—which is why the Auxiliary to the ACOFP was formed. Spouses and significant others of osteopathic physicians have joined together with a mission to support those just starting out in family medicine. To date, about 3,200 men and women are actively participating in the Auxiliary by raising money through dues, drawings, sponsorships and direct donations.

The mission of the Auxiliary to the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians is to promote and support the objectives and programs of the ACOFP, through family member involvement.

FUTURE LEADERS CONFERENCE SUPPORT
The Auxiliary annually provides support to the ACOFP Future Leaders Conference, which is designed to teach selected new physicians in practice and family medicine residents who are interested in achieving a greater awareness of their leadership style so they can make a greater impact in the profession and in ACOFP.

FUNDRAISING SUPPORT
The Auxiliary advocates for the American Osteopathic Association (AAOA) by supporting their fundraising events and Student Associate Auxiliary programs.

STUDENT PROGRAMMING AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Auxiliary support enables more students to attend the ACOFP Annual Convention. Students benefit from leadership development programs and say the annual convention is important in their decision to be active ACOFP members.

EMERGENCY RESERVE FUND FOR RESIDENTS AND STUDENTS
The Emergency Reserve Fund has been created to aid with relocation expenses for residents and students who are displaced by closing residency programs.
