REFERENCE COMMITTEE INFORMATION
Virtual reference committee meetings will be held on March 9, 2024 from 11 am - 3 pm CST. Executive session 3-4 pm.

CONGRESS OF DELEGATES
The ACOFP Congress of Delegates will take place in-person on Wednesday, April 3, starting at 2 pm CST in New Orleans, Louisiana.

RESOLUTION SUBMISSION
Information to come.

Resolutions submitted after January 15 or during the Congress may only be accepted by approval of the Congress Speaker or by consent of two-thirds of the Congress Delegates present, provided two-thirds of the seated Delegates are in attendance.

LEGISLATIVE BODY


The ACOFP Congress of Delegates is the ACOFP’s legislative body, composed of appointed members from each affiliate or state society. It elects new officers and members to serve on the Board of Governors.

Congress meets each spring at the ACOFP Annual Convention & Scientific Seminars

STATE SOCIETY


A state society receives one voting delegate for every 25 active members whose national and state dues are current.


State societies also receive one voting osteopathic family practice resident delegate who is currently enrolled in good standing in an AOA or ACGME residency program in the represented state; is in good standing with the ACOFP state affiliate society; and is in good standing with the ACOFP and AOA.

DELEGATE
All state societies receive one voting delegate from each approved College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) ACOFP Student Chapter within the state.


Each state society is required to send recommendations naming its delegates and alternate delegates to the ACOFP Executive Director at least 30 days before the first day of the Congress of Delegate’s annual meeting. The recommendations must be made in writing.
