ACOFP '23 Health & Safety

Because we value your safety and would love to see and connect with you in person, ACOFP is taking precautions for the ACOFP 60th Annual Convention & Scientific Seminars, taking place March 29 – April 2 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida. View the policies, protocols and expectations of attendees coming on-site below.

If after reading the safety measures we are taking and it is not possible (or preferable) for you to attend in person, we are also offering a virtual convention experience

Liability Waiver

All attendees, including guests, must sign an ACOFP liability waiver to participate in the event, which outlines masking, testing and general COVID-19 policies and requires self-attestation of COVID-19 testing.

Pre-Travel Testing

All attendees, exhibitors and staff must take a COVID-19 test of their choosing within 72 hours of badge pick-up and may not attend the convention if they receive a positive result.

Mask Requirements

Based on the recently updated guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), masks will not be required. Should Orange County move to a “high community level” per the CDC, this policy will be reconsidered.

However, please respect the choice of those who choose to wear masks. We will have extra masks at registration, if you would like to wear one during the convention.

Sanitization Procedures

All attendees will receive a personal hand sanitizer bottle at registration.

In addition, each OMT table will have individual disinfecting wipes to be utilized before and after each use.

Air Quality and Ventilation

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers and the CDC have developed core recommendations to reduce airborne infectious aerosol exposure. The Disney Coronado Springs Resort has implemented the following:
         •  Humidity level set point at 40–60 percent
         •  Economizer set to introduce a percentage of outside air
         •  MERV 13 filters used on the property

Vaccination Status

ACOFP will not require a COVID-19 vaccination to attend but does strongly recommend that attendees are up-to-date on their vaccination.

"Be Well" Policy

ACOFP respectfully requests that all attendees follow the guidance and recommendations for travel set forth by the CDC. If you are unable to travel based on CDC guidelines, please contact registration@acofp.org to convert your registration to ACOFP ‘23 Virtual, which can be accessed for up to one year after the event.

If you do not feel well during the event, ACOFP asks that you stay in your hotel room. Please email support@acofp.org between 6:00 am ET and 9:30 pm ET with your name and room number to have a COVID-19 test delivered to your door.
