This lecture provides a historical framework for the changes in prostate screening over the last two decades. In addition, it will cover current guidelines on prostate cancer screening with prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and which patient populations are at a higher risk for early and advanced prostate cancer. At the end of this lecture, participants will be able to provide an informed discussion with their patients regarding the risks and the benefits of prostate cancer screening with PSA.
