Hello everyone! My name is Shikha Patel, and I am from New Jersey but currently live in New York City where I am a PGY-3 at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. I completed my medical school at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. My interests in family medicine include community medicine, integrative medicine, preventive care, health policy and medical education. I am passionate about advocating for my patients and for my profession. 

Aside from medicine, I enjoy watching international TV dramas, exploring new cities and restaurants, and spending time with my friends and family. I am incredibly excited and honored to join the ACOFP Resident Council and serve Region 6.
