Hi everyone! My name is Janani Naidu, and I am currently a family medicine PGY-2 resident at Ascension Providence in Southfield, Michigan. I am so honored and excited to represent and advocate for Region 4 of the ACOFP Resident Council.

I was born and raised in the Metro-Detroit area. I graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with my undergraduate degree in biomolecular sciences and obtained my medical doctorate from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.

I spend a lot of my free time with friends and family. I do love to travel but love even more to come back home. I like to practice yoga and meditation and have finally started to swim regularly again as well. I also recently started reading and writing more—including working on a short film—and my favorite author is Mitch Albom. 

Please don't hesitate to reach out regarding advocacy work for Region 4 or anywhere else! I would love to help however possible or even just chat about life, osteopathy and family medicine.
