This session will provide an overview of the differences between Value-Based Care and Managed Care and provide data to support the transition to a Value-Based Care model.

Learning objectives:
Differentiate between Managed Care versus Value-Based Care regarding evidence based care.
Evaluate the reasons for the growth of Medicare Advantage plans, regarding savings generated for patients.
Compare reasons for early ‘90s bad press of HMOs versus recent controversy over step care therapy.
