This session provides key findings identifying common reasons for children who present to the clinic with a limp. Participants will have an understanding of the appropriate diagnosis upon presentation based on age, history, and physical examination. The session will review abnormal gait patterns, fractures, deformities, and disorders for children presenting with a "funny" gait. The session outlines crucial factors to help in the guidance of what to order, when to refer, and when to reassure the child and family. At the end, participants will be able to provide a more comprehensive, holistic approach to the limping child.

Learning Objectives:
Outline common conditions within the differential of age, history, and physical exam for a limping child.
Recognize how to conduct a clinical evaluation in considering fractures, deformities and disorders which present in a child with a limp.
Evaluate when to refer a limping child.
Assess common and abnormal gait patterns of any age.
