Jim is a Family Medicine resident at Clarion Hospital in Clarion, PA. He attended Allegheny College in Meadville, PA for his undergraduate education, and subsequently attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for his medical degree.
He has a deep interest in rural medicine and Behavioral Health, and he plans to pursue a fellowship in Addiction Medicine upon completion of his residency. Jim also closely follows the intersection of health care and government policy, and currently serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Addictive Diseases. His main areas of research and policy interest are universal health care, increased access to Medication-Assisted Therapy (MAT) for Substance Use Disorder, and MAT in the perioperative period.
He is a stalwart proponent of medical student and resident engagement, and attempts to make himself consistently available to suggestions, as well as to those seeking advice or opportunities in the fields of Family Medicine, Addiction, and Behavioral Health.
