About Samantha Lease:
Biography & Education
Samantha Lease, DO, is a PGY-2 resident in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Family Medicine Residency Program. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biochemistry with minors in Hispanic Studies and Music Performance at the College of St. Benedict–St. John’s University in St. Joseph, MN, followed by a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences at Iowa State University in Ames, IA. She earned her medical degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA, where she also completed an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) Undergraduate Fellowship. Samantha’s residency experience is diverse, ranging from inpatient and outpatient care to OB and various electives. She joined the Resident Council to help shape the future of osteopathic family medicine graduate medical education. Outside of residency, Samantha enjoys camping and fishing with her husband and two dogs, and is passionate about homesteading with their chickens, cows, and garden. She is also a talented harpist and the author of a fiction novel, The Mark, published under her maiden name, Hurrle.
