CHAPTER SHOUT OUT
This month's chapter shout-out goes to CUSOM-NC. This month, several of their rising OMS-II students attended the Eastern Rural Health Program hosted by the NCAFP. It was a two-week program. During the first week, the students attended lectures and participated in workshops related to family medicine and rural health at ECU. The workshops included reading EKGs, nutritional health, OB/GYN, and MSK physicals. In the second week students shadowed family medicine doctors working in rural/underserved areas in Eastern North Carolina. This is a great initiative by CUSOM-NC and we're excited about the work they are doing!
