The American College of Osteopathic Family Medicine (ACOFP) is a professional organization for osteopathic family physicians, residents and medical students. The mission of ACOFP is to promote excellence in osteopathic family medicine through quality education, visionary leadership and responsible advocacy.


MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS

All qualified applicants for ACOFP membership must be a graduate of a college of osteopathic medicine approved by the American Osteopathic Association at the time of graduation and shall be licensed to practice osteopathic medicine.  Each applicant shall be of good moral character, and shall conform to the ACOFP Code of Ethics.

Physician Member must have completed an AOA-approved post-doctoral training in family medicine or ACGME approved post-doctoral training or has been in active family medicine for greater than six years. Join >>

PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Professional Associate members shall be those persons whose professional activities involve cooperation with osteopathic family physicians through their specialty; or who contribute to some phase of the special field of osteopathic family medicine, such as education and research in scientific fields; or others interested in supporting this College. RESIDENT MEMBER
No Fee

Resident members shall be in a family medicine post-doctoral program accredited by AOA or ACGME. Join >>


STUDENT MEMBER

Student members shall be students in colleges of osteopathic medicine accredited by The Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA), who are also members of their local undergraduate chapter located within the geographic boundary served by the ACOFP affiliate society. Join >>
