On December 20, 2024, the House of Representatives passed the American Relief Act, 2025. This continuing resolution (CR) would fund the government until March 14, 2025. Attached is a topline summary of the bill’s health care-related provisions. Key policies include:
- Extending Medicare telehealth flexibilities (until March 31, 2025);
- Extending the Medicare Low Volume Hospital and Medicare-Dependent Hospital designations (until March 31, 2025);
- Extending the Medicare Acute Hospital Care at Home Program (until March 31, 2025);
- Delaying Medicaid disproportionate share hospital (DSH) payment cuts (until April 1, 2025); and
- Specifying that the balances on the PAY-GO scorecards at the end of the 118th Congress shall be zero (averting sequestration).
