Earlier this month, ACOFP hosted its 62nd Annual Convention in Palm Springs, California, marking the 75th anniversary of the organization. This milestone event brought together medical students, residents, and attending physicians from across the country to celebrate the legacy and future of osteopathic family medicine.
The convention was a vibrant mix of learning, networking, and celebration. From the energizing keynote by Dr. Mike to hands-on ultrasound and OMT workshops, attendees had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and sharpen their skills. The weekend was packed with engaging sessions on everything from supplements and end-of-life care to cancer survivorship—offering valuable CME and insights for physicians at every stage of practice.
Beyond the sessions, the convention offered countless chances to build connections, from the LGBTQ+ reception and Women’s Brunch to alumni gatherings and the President’s Reception. The sense of community and shared purpose was unmistakable, and it’s what truly makes ACOFP feel like a family.
Attendees also had the chance to explore all that Palm Springs has to offer, including the weekly Village Fest, local restaurants, scenic hikes, and nearby Joshua Tree National Park. The mix of professional development and personal enjoyment made for a truly unforgettable experience.
If you missed this year’s celebration, don’t worry, we’ll see you next year in Orlando, Florida!
