The Society of Military Family Medicine Chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (Military-ACOFP) operates as a branch society under the national ACOFP, adhering to the Constitution, Bylaws, and Code of Ethics. 

Membership

Members must be:

  • current students or graduates of AOA-approved osteopathic medical colleges, licensed or retired practitioners of family medicine, or current students or residents in ACGME or AOA-approved residencies.
  • free of felony convictions related to medicine.
  • must receive approval from the Military-ACOFP Board of Directors.
  • must have served honorably in any branch of the military, including active, reserve, or guard components, such as the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Space Force, or Coast Guard.

Membership dues of $50 apply for physicians unless specified otherwise.

As a new society, please help us to create an accurate record of interested members to start receiving communication. We would love to have input and ideas from all of you and how we can best serve you, residents, students, and future generations.

Hosted by the Society of Military Family Medicine Chapter of the ACOFP (Military-ACOFP) for Physicians, Residents, and Medical Students: Join the Society of Military Family Medicine Chapter of the ACOFP for an engaging panel session that delves into the unique challenges and rewards of practicing medicine in the military. Panelists will share their experiences, strategies for resilience, and insights on maintaining high-quality care under demanding conditions. This session will also provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions, explore career pathways in military medicine, and network with peers.
