Description
Act as a voice for the Student Association of the ACOFP and work with the ACOFP student chapters at the Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine to promote family medicine and help develop future leaders of ACOFP and the profession of osteopathic family medicine.Charge
1. Plan programming and activities for students at the Annual Convention.
2. Increase student attendance at the ACOFP annual conference.
3. Conduct the new Student Chapter Leadership training program format at AC and online.
4. Plan and help produce OMT and procedural workshops for students at the annual convention.
5. Plan and help produce the national community service project.
6. Promote membership, family medicine and resources to chapters via ACOFP channels and work with COMs with low membership recruitment.
7. Identify and assist in starting new and struggling local student chapters.
8. Develop a strategy to keep third- and fourth-year students involved in national and local chapter activities.
9. Collaborate with the Public Relations Committee to promote student involvement, highlighting student and chapter engagement and osteopathic family medicine through producing a blog series highlighting osteopathic medical students and local chapters and producing a podcast series for the DO.fm Student Podcast Channel.
10. Submit resolutions on topics important to student members to the Resolutions Committee and ensure student participation at the Congress of Delegates.
11. Collaborate with the Resident Council on providing information on family medicine and residency information.
12. Continue to produce and release quarterly digital interviews on the diversity of family medicine with ACOFP members who are Chairs of Family Medicine, Deans, and/or ACOFP Board members.
13. Develop an online student chapter president resource area in collaboration with ACOFP staff.
14. Implement the new student brand in all collateral and communication, including a revised newsletter.

Attend/participate in all student events/meetings at the Annual Convention, monthly zoom meetings, quarterly zoom regional meetings with assigned chapter president groups and student committees, submit monthly articles for student newsletter.Staff Liaison
