The Outstanding Female Leader Award recognizes female physicians who excel as clinical role models, educators, distinguished professional leaders, and inspiring figures for those in medical training.
Award Criteria
- Must be an active ACOFP member in good standing.
- Must be currently certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS).
- Must have no current restrictions on any medical licenses at the time of application.
- Must be actively practicing in osteopathic medicine.
- Must demonstrate leadership in their role as a female physician.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- One letter of support from the nominator.
- One letter from the nominee's affiliate society. In cases where an affiliate society is not available, the letter must come from a national leader.
