Whatever your niche or passion, you have the opportunity to forge your own path within ACOFP!

Traditional Leadership

Congress of Delegates

The ACOFP Congress of Delegates is the ACOFP’s legislative body, composed of appointed members from each affiliate or state society. It elects new officers and members to serve on the Board of Governors. Congress meets each spring at the ACOFP Annual Convention & Scientific Seminars.

ACOFP Committees & Work Groups

Find your niche in the osteopathic family medicine profession! Joining an ACOFP committee allows you the opportunity to explore different areas of interest and make a difference for your fellow—and future—physicians. The call for volunteers for the 2023–24 year is now closed. Applications will open for the 2024–25 year will open in fall 2023.

Board of Governors

Lead on a national level by joining the ACOFP Board of Governors. The deadline for applications was September 1, but you can explore the steps to apply and learn more about the criteria in advance of applications opening again next fall.

Thought Leadership

ACOFP has a number of engagement opportunities outside of traditional leadership pathways. Whether you’re interested in submitting content, or becoming a specialty peer reviewer, find ways to contribute to thought leadership with ACOFP:

• Submit a proposal to the call for content
• Submit a blog proposal
• Submit an article or patient education handout to our peer-reviewed journal, Osteopathic Family Physician (OFP)
• Apply to be an OFP specialty peer reviewer
