Refund Policy for Online Purchases

Effective Date: March 20, 2025

This Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs the terms and conditions under which refunds may be issued for online purchases made through American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (“Provider”). By making any purchase with ACOFP, the purchaser (“User”) agrees to the terms outlined herein.

1. Refund Eligibility

1.1 Refund requests must be submitted in writing to membership@acofp.org within fourteen (14) calendar days of the purchase date.

1.2 Refunds will be granted solely under the following conditions:

a. The User has not accessed more than ten percent (10%) of the course content or beyond the first module, whichever is less; and

b. Downloadable or otherwise permanently accessible materials have not been accessed or downloaded.

c. An identifiable duplicate order has been discovered, or evidence of an exact duplicate order has been provided by the User.

2. Non-Refundable Purchases

2.1 All purchases made as part of a discounted promotion, bundle, or special offer are non-refundable.

2.2 Completion of 10% of an online education product or issuance of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits or certificates issued prior to the refund request render the transaction non-refundable.

 3. Procedure for Requesting Refunds

3.1 All refund requests must include the order confirmation number and a detailed explanation of the reason for the request.

3.2 Upon receipt of a valid request, Provider will review the submission and notify the User of the decision via email within ten (10) business days.

3.3 Approved refunds will be processed as a credit to the User’s account.

4. Exceptions

4.1 Refunds may be granted, at the sole discretion of the Provider, in cases of documented technical issues that prevent access to the course content, provided the issue is reported to membership@acofp.org within seven (7) calendar days of purchase and access is not restored within those seven (7) calendar days.

4.2 No refunds shall be granted for failure to complete the course or failure to meet system requirements, which are the sole responsibility of the User.

4.3 No refunds shall be granted for disliking or not agreeing with the information provided in the course content.

 5. Method of Refund

5.1 All refunds will be processed as a credit to the User’s account for use towards any future purchases with ACOFP, with the exception of Membership Dues.

6. Amendments

6.1 The Provider reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Provider’s website.
