About Jay Wang:
Biography & Education
Jay Wang is a third-year medical student at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine in San Antonio, TX. He holds a BSA in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Science in Medical Sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, and a Master of Public Health in Community Health Programming from UTHealth School of Public Health Houston. Jay was inspired to join the ACOFP National Student Executive Board as the Parliamentarian after participating in the 2024 ACOFP Think Tank in New Orleans, where he experienced firsthand the supportive and inclusive environment of the organization. Motivated by that experience and a desire to learn how a national medical organization functions, he sought to grow as a future physician-leader. In his free time, Jay enjoys experimenting with sourdough and traditional Korean syrup (cheong), and he has a couple of fun talents—he can say the alphabet backwards in under 10 seconds and do a jumping toe touch!
As Vice President of the National Student Executive Board, Student Doctor Wang steps in to fulfill the responsibilities of the President when needed, carrying out all associated duties and responsibilities. He also serves as the NSEB liaison to designated student committees, providing regular updates to the board. Additionally, he leads the coordination of the annual national student community service projects or events, helping to engage students in meaningful outreach efforts and the chapter leadership training workshop.- The University of Texas at Austin
