Biography & Education

Christina Shawdy Sedaghat, DO is a self-development enthusiast and perpetual optimist. She is achild of Iranian immigrants, and was born in Miami, Florida where she grew up in an exquisitely diverse environment that has shaped her view of the world. As a child, Dr. Sedaghat's admiration and hunger for knowledge developed into an interest in the field of medicine through her love for the human mind. She completed my undergraduate education with a major in Neuroscience at the University of Miami and received her medical education from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Sedaghat completed a traditional rotating internship at Rocky University in Lone Tree, Colorado.

Dr. Sedaghat lives in Reading, Pennsylvania where she is a second-year chief resident at Penn State Health St. Joseph’s Family and Community Medicine residency program. She aims to honor authenticity and celebrate diversity in her practice and believes that living intentionally and with a vision in mind is integral to her way of life. She strives to make a positive impact everywhere she goes and has authored six affirmation decks which have sold internationally to over 30 countries. Her aspiration is to build a career rooted in advocacy work and serve as a global educator.
