Instructors will present, demonstrate, and discuss interactive case presentation scenarios, including related OMT techniques. Whether you are preparing for your board performance exam or want to expand your skills to the next level, OMT Boot Camp is a hands-on learning opportunity you don’t want to miss!

Urgent Care Procedures $349

During this 3-hour intense skills workshop, participants will have hands-on instruction and practice with several procedures that occur in the urgent care setting. Procedures to be covered include: foreign object removal, IV placement, phlebotomy, ingrown toenail treatment, suturing and splinting/bracing/dislocations. Billing and coding associated with these procedures will also be reviewed.

Refine your osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) diagnoses and treatment and advance your skills with OMT Next Level. This lumbar sacral section will consist of case-based presentations that focus on a brief review of diagnostic procedures for specific conditions where OMT is indicated (such as innominate dysfunctions, gait analysis and dysfunctions of the sacrum and sacroiliac joint) with most of the time devoted to hands on instruction of specific OMT techniques. This module is approved by AOBFP to count towards the recertification requirements from AOBFP for OMT.

The advances in ultrasound resolution, technology and cost have put this modality well within the scope and ability of every practicing family physician. This Fundamentals of POCUS workshop is a unique hands-on experience to teach clinicians the basics of portable ultrasound. At the end of this workshop, the participant should have basic knowledge of the physics and knobology of POCUS as well as competence in the techniques for diagnosis and procedural guidance in the neck (thyroid), abdomen (gallbladder, kidney, urinary bladder) and chest (lungs, heart) and be familiar with technical steps to use ultrasound technology for the benefit of family medicine patients.

Do you already have experience with portable ultrasound, but would like to expand your application?
Participants in this advanced POCUS workshop will leave with improved clinical proficiency in the following areas: vascular (aorta, upper/lower extremity venous) soft tissue and musculoskeletal (skin, shoulder, knee), procedures (joint injection, IV access, incision and drainage) and protocols (FAST, RUSH, BLUE). Participants of this workshop should already have basic knowledge and some experience with POCUS technology.

OMT Next Level: Systemic Conditions $350

This systemic condition section will consist of case-based presentations that focus on a brief review of diagnostic procedures for specific conditions where OMT is indicated (such as sinusitis, asthma, constipation, and dysmenorrhea) with most of the time devoted to hands on instruction of specific OMT techniques. This module is approved by AOBFP to count towards the recertification requirements from AOBFP for OMT.

Introduction to Wound Care $275
Saturday, April 6 | 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
2.5 AOA Category 1-A CME Credit/2.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™

Participants will be introduced to, and have hands-on practice with, a the most common suturing and wound care techniques including punch biopsies, shave biopsies, incision/drainage of abscesses, compression garments, and more. Billing and coding associated with these procedures will also be reviewed.
