ACOFP '22 Health & Safety

Because we value your safety and would love to see and connect with you in person, ACOFP is taking precautions for the ACOFP 59th Annual Convention & Scientific Seminars, taking place March 17–20 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. View the policies, protocols and expectations of attendees coming on-site below.

If after reading the safety measures we are taking and it is not possible (or preferable) for you to attend in person, we are also offering a completely virtual convention experience

Pre-Travel Testing

All attendees, exhibitors and staff must take a COVID-19 test (PCR or Rapid Antigen) within 72 hours of the event start date and may not attend the convention if they receive a positive result.

Mask Requirements

Based on the recently updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), masks will be recommended—but not required—at indoor functions, including general CME sessions, receptions and recognition ceremonies. Should Dallas County move to a “high level” per the CDC, this policy will be reconsidered.

However, all ACOFP '22 workshops and OMT Boot Camp will still require a KN95 or N95 mask to participate, which will be provided by ACOFP.

Sanitization Procedures

All attendees will receive a personal hand sanitizer bottle in their registration bag. Hand sanitizer stations are located in each meeting room and in public areas, and all meeting rooms are sanitized by the Hilton at the end of the night.

In addition, each OMT table will have individual disinfecting wipes to be utilized before and after each use.

Vaccination Status

While ACOFP's goal is to have everyone who attends and works the event to be vaccinated, ACOFP cannot legally require vaccinations in the state of Texas. A recent survey to registered attendees indicates at least 97% of attendees are fully vaccinated; 3% chose not to disclose.

Liability Waiver

All attendees, including guests, must sign the ACOFP liability waiver to participate in the event, which outlines masking, testing and general COVID policies and requires self-attestation of a negative COVID-19 test.

"Be Well" Policy

ACOFP respectfully requests that all attendees follow the guidance and recommendations for travel set forth by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

If you are unable to travel based on these CDC guidelines, please contact registration@acofp.org to convert your registration to ACOFP '22 Virtual, which can be accessed for up to one year after the event.

If you do not feel well during the event, ACOFP asks that you stay in your hotel room and watch sessions virtually. Please email support@acofp.org between 6:00 am CT – 9:30 pm CT with your name and room number to have a COVID-19 test delivered to your door.

Hilton Anatole COVID-19 Safety Policies

All Hilton staff will be required to wear a mask, and all food servers will be required to wear masks and gloves.

Hand sanitizer stations are located in each meeting room and in public areas, and all meeting rooms are sanitized by the Hilton at the end of the night.
