Refund and Cancellation Policy
Registrations are non-transferable. To receive a refund, less a $50 processing fee, cancellations must be in writing and received by February 25, 2022. After this date, all registrations are non-refundable.

Designed for osteopathic family physician and residents, as well as MD family medicine residents graduating from osteopathically recognized programs, ACOFP's OMT Boot Camp aims to help participants improve existing techniques and to re-introduce previously learned "hands-on" osteopathic approaches as they prepare for their board performance exams. Real and interactive scenarios will be presented, demonstrated and discussed. Practicing family physicians who want to refine their OMT skills and enhance their approach to patient care are also welcome.

The advances in ultrasound resolution, technology and cost have put this modality well within the scope and ability of every practicing family physician. To help participans gain a basic knowledge of science and application of outpatient ultrasound, this course—hosted by the ACOFP Procedural Medicine Committee—provides hands-on experience with abdominal, musculoskeletal and vascular ultrasound, in addition to reviewing obstetrical ultrasound and ultrasound guided procedures. At the end of the course, participants will have a foundation of clinical ultrasound technology for diagnosis and procedural guidance and how to use ultrasound technology for the benefit of family medicine patients.

Learn several common dermatologic procedures—including skin lesion shave and punch biopsies, skin lesion excision and basic skin suturing techniques—during this two-hour interactive workshop designed for osteopathic family physicians in an outpatient setting.

Participants will be introduced to methods of proper wound description, discuss wound care products, navigate through the compression therapy/garments and review local and topical anesthesia and ways for effective hemostasis. Uncover different types of debridements and biopsies of wounds and lesions, and discuss incision/drainage of abscesses. Billing and coding associated with these procedures will also be reviewed.

Physicians are often trained to perform only one treatment at a time and to stick with one process; however, patients frequently do not respond immediately to just one method. This course will demonstrate how to easily incorporate multiple modalities in the treatment of commonly occurring musculoskeletal complaints and how to do so in limited time constraints.
