This 60-minute lecture will go through a series of cases of pediatric patients presenting with complaints of “red eye” in an effort to review the diagnosis, medical management and need for pediatric ophthalmology referral for common pediatric ocular conditions.
Learning Objectives:
Formulate a broad differential for pediatric red eye complaints
Summarize the medical management of common pediatric red eye conditions
Categorize the need (and level of urgency) for conditions requiring referral to a pediatric ophthalmologist
