ACOFP Future Leaders Conference

Are you interested in achieving greater awareness of your leadership style and how you can use it to enhance your professional performance? The ACOFP Future Leaders Conference is a leadership development program for family medicine residents and new physicians. 
Participants will:

  • Hone knowledge and leadership skills for advancing and promoting their careers in family medicine
  • Explore ways to maintain personal balance, lead and manage change, and understand strengths
  • Learn to help maximize the talents of others and what influences leadership
  • Connect with peers and ACOFP leadership at this unique location

ACOFP covers the registration, hotel, and food expenses for participants.


Application Checklist

For your application to be considered, these items must be submitted:

  • Completed application
  • Current CV
  • Headshot Photo
  • Essay
  • Letter of support from the nominator, program director or ACOFP state society (optional)

Application deadline has been extended to April 19th and can be completed here .


Essay Requirements

Your written essay of 500 words or fewer should discuss the leadership development areas about which you hope to learn more and how your current personal and professional experiences can add richness to conversations on this topic. In addition, describe how attending the conference will benefit and enhance your personal and professional goals.


Participant Criteria

To be eligible, you must be:

  • A family medicine resident or new physician (in practice less than five years)
  • An ACOFP member
  • Interested in volunteering your skills and knowledge at ACOFP
