What is the difference between Intensive Osteopathic Update (IOU) and OMED?
There are several differences:

  • Both IOU and OMED will be held 100% virtual.
  • IOU features multiple tracks and concurrent sessions—all of which are applicable to osteopathic family physicians. Only one of OMED’s tracks is 100% designed for osteopathic family physicians. That track is developed by ACOFP.
  • The cost for IOU is all-inclusive for more than 30 hours of anticipated AOA Category 1-A CME. There are no additional fees for pre-conference or post-conference workshops.

The ACOFP is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to sponsor continuing medical education for osteopathic physicians. ACOFP anticipates this program will be approved for over 30 AOA Category 1-A CME credits. In addition, application for CME credit will be filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) for those physicians seeking CME credit through this mechanism.
