This virtual CME workshop will provide a comprehensive view of the unique needs of your patients with T1D and explore the latest information in T1D management, including diabetes technologies, adjunctive therapies, and psychosocial care. Faculty will also address the use of continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump therapy, how to start patients on these technologies, and how these technologies can help make the management of T1D easier for you and your patients.

Upon completion, participants should be able to:
Recognize the clinical implications of using outcomes measures other than HbA1c in T1D care
Identify the benefits and limitations associated with using CGM in people with T1D from both the provider and patient perspectives
Address the education and processes needed to help individuals with T1D start insulin pump therapy
Identify the advantages and disadvantages of new insulin formulations and the off-label or investigational use of anti-hyperglycemic medications for individuals with T1D
Develop a greater awareness of the common psychosocial challenges that individuals with T1D experience and of the strategies and resources to help them
