This session provides an introduction to continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) for family physicians. It will discuss identifying patients who will benefit from CGM, how to successfully implement it, and common problems and pitfalls. There will also be an interactive discussion of key issues with a patient who uses CGM. In the end, participants will understand the benefits and drawbacks to use CGM in the primary care setting from both the physician and patient perspectives.

Learning Objectives:
Discuss the role of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in the primary care setting.
Identify strategies for successfully implementing CGM in the primary care setting.
Recognize common problems and pitfalls that arise from the patient's perspective and discuss strategies to mitigate them.
Discuss the patient's perspective when using CGM.
