ACOFP provides its members with a variety of resources with information essential to the work and life of an osteopathic family physician.
ACOFP has developed publications that offer scientific research, OMT techniques, advocacy issues in Washington, D.C., and association news.
A library of resources is available for osteopathic family physicians looking to brush up on OMT Techniques, or gain some insight in managing a practice. ACOFP also provides information on ethical issues as well as a comprehensive Digital Toolkit with pertinent podcasts, wikis, blogs and PDA resources.
Another resource is ACOFP’s Education & Research Foundation. The Foundation supports programs that encourage understanding of the principles and practices of osteopathic family practice, and improve public health by increasing the general knowledge relating to the prevention, cause, and treatment of disease.
ACOFP’s Auxiliary supports the ACOFP, the osteopathic students with family practice interests and family practice residents by raising funds for various programs. The Auxiliary has a fundraising event each year at the ACOFP Annual Convention and offers scholarships for students and residents.
All ACOFP members are connected through their desire to make people well and ACOFP offers a number of opportunities for members to support and renew the connectivity between osteopathic family physicians.
ACOFP’s Physician Expert Network allows members to designate their specialty area of expertise to be used for article submissions for ACOFP’s publications, serve as speakers for national and state meetings, and be an industry resource for your association.
ACOFP encourages members to become a Preceptor and actively guide students through their osteopathic education. ACOFP provides resources for its volunteer preceptors as well as a comprehensive portal for students and Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine to search for preceptors.
