On behalf of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) and its Osteopathic Clinical Research Committee, we are asking Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, Students, Family Practice Residents and Faculty Members to participate in the Poster Presentations during the ACOFP 45th Annual Convention & Exhibition on March 12-16, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Denver Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.
Students, Family Practice Residents and Faculty Members are encouraged to present their research for this scientific poster session. It is our goal that every osteopathic college and every Family Practice Residency will be represented in this year’s conference. The Osteopathic Clinical Research Committee will review submissions and prizes will be awarded. This year Poster Presentations will be accepted via e-mail “only” all information must be typed directly on the forms and you are required to submit the forms including your Abstract to residencyprograminfo@acofp.org.
The prizes for Original Research Posters for Students and Residents will be 1st place ($500); 2nd place ($250) and 3rd place ($100) each.We will have a second category of Case Reports in which one award will be presented for $100. Faculty Members will not receive monetary awards. There will be no travel or housing allowance. The deadline for the Poster Presentation submissions is Friday, February 15, 2008. Presenters must be present in the poster presentation area on March 12, 2008. The judging will take place the night of March 12, 2008 and the winners will be announced on March 13, 2008 in the Exhibit Hall. However, we will have a rolling acceptance as of this date. Submissions prior to this date will be notified within two weeks of submission regarding acceptance.

Below you will find the instructions for submission of Abstracts for Poster Presentations. The instructions are specific to setting up the Abstracts in word processing programs compatible with Microsoft Word.
Abstracts will be published camera ready; therefore, it is essential that authors adhere to all instructions regarding Abstract formatting and preparation. They will be returned to the author and not included if the directions are not followed.
