• Call for Poster Presentations
  Annually, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and its Osteopathic Clinical Research Committee ask Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, Students, Family Practice Residents and Faculty Members to participate in the Poster Presentations during the ACOFP Annual Convention & Exhibition.



• Namey/Burnett Preventive Medicine Writing Award
  The ACOFP Preventive Medicine and Medical Preparedness Committee is pleased to announce the annual Namey/Burnett Preventive Medicine Writing Award competition to honor the best preventive medicine papers submitted by Osteopathic medical students, interns or residents and fellows.

  The First Prize winner will receive $500 award, plaque of recognition, round trip airfare to the ACOFP Annual Convention & Exhibition, three nights lodging at the Convention Headquarters Hotel, and the winner also will present their paper as part of the Preventive Medicine and Medical Preparedness Committee Lecture. The Second and Third Prize winners will receive $250 award, plaque of recognition, and will also have their paper read at the ACOFP Annual Convention & Exhibition.

  Nominations for the 2008-2009 National Student Association of the ACOFP Executive Board of Officers are now open.  Elections will be held during the ACOFP 45th Annual Convention & Exhibition.   

  How do you become a member of the ACOFP Executive Board of Officers?

  1. Determine if you meet the criteria for the position you’re running for. 
  2. Submit a letter of intent and CV to Tobi Kelmer at tobik@acofp.org by March 1, 2008. 
  3. Candidates have the opportunity to speak about their qualifications for office and hand out copies of their letter of intent and CV during the 45^th Annual ACOFP Convention & Exhibition.

  This program was developed as a vehicle for all DOs to offer their guidance and wisdom, as well as for student doctors, interns, residents and DOs who are seeking a mentor to be able to select criteria that matches their areas of interest.
