Volunteer to be a Resident Recruiter
One of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physician’s strategic goals is to increase the number of osteopathic medical students who choose an osteopathic family practice residency program and we believe that the influence of an osteopathic family practice resident is the primary factor leading to a student’s decision to choose an osteopathic family practice residency. The ACOFP Resident Recruiter Program helps foster influential communication between osteopathic medical students and osteopathic family practice residents. In addition, the Resident Recruiters provide another point of contact for medical students during the formal interview process.
Young Physician & Resident Committee Mission
To seek ways to serve the needs of Resident Members and physicians in practice less than 10 years and seek ways to involve these professionals in ACOFP initiatives and activities. Provide guidance for these physicians preparing or just entering practice, especially in practice management and business skills, procedural skills, technology, regulatory and legislative matters that affect their practice. Foster leadership development. The Committee is responsible for recommending, and evaluating member benefits and services to meet the needs of their stakeholders. The committee is to recommend programs for CME and social activities at meetings of the ACOFP for its stakeholders.
