The American College of Osteopathic Family Medicine (ACOFP) is a professional organization for osteopathic family physicians. ACOFP works to promote excellence in osteopathic family medicine through responsible advocacy, quality education and visionary leadership.
ACOFP works closely with the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to advocate on behalf of osteopathic family physicians to federal and state policymakers. ACOFP’s legislative priorities include: the medical home concept, Medicare physician payment and professional liability insurance reform.
To help osteopathic family physicians keep up with medical advances, ACOFP provides Continuing Medical Education (CME) through annual conventions, online education and scientific journal articles.
ACOFP provides an outlet for members to give back to the osteopathic community through leadership opportunities. Members can be a part of our Physician Expert Network, volunteer for committees, earn the designation of Fellow or Distinguished Fellow, become a preceptor for osteopathic students or be published in ACOFP’s Osteopathic Family Physician News.
