Paul A. Martin, DO FACOFP dist. Receives Distinguished Fellow Designation from the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians

Paul A. Martin, DO, FACOFP dist., of Dayton, Ohio, received his designation as a Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) during its Annual Conclave of Fellows Award Ceremony on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the ACOFP 45th Annual Convention & Exhibition in Denver, Colorado.

The Distinguished Fellow Award honors exceptional members of the Conclave of Fellows. This award is presented to Fellows who have exhibited exemplary service to ACOFP by attendance, as well as support of the governance and committee structures, locally and nationally.

Paul A.  Martin, DO, FACOFP attended the University of Dayton where he completed his undergraduate degree, Cum Laude, in Biology (1970) and a Masters in Microbiology (1972) and earned his medical degree, Cum Laude, in 1977 from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Martin is Board Certified (1986) in Family Practice and a Fellow (1997) in the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He is the past Chief of Staff of Grandview/Southview Hospital and Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio as well as past member of the Board of Governors and Trustees for Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. He is the past president of the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

Currently, Dr. Martin is President of the Ohio Osteopathic Association and President/CEO of Providence Medical Group, a 43-member physician owned medical group in the Dayton Metropolitan area.
