STEVEN H. BARAG, DO, FACOFP RECEIVES FELLOW AWARD OF THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC FAMILY PHYSICIANS
Steven H. Barag, DO, FACOFP of Rancho Cucamonga, California, received his designation as a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) during its Annual Conclave of Fellows Award Ceremony on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the ACOFP 45th Annual Convention & Exhibition in Denver, Colorado.
The honorary designation of Fellow is bestowed upon those candidates who have contributed outstanding national and local service through teaching, authorship, research, or professional leadership. They have also contributed outstanding service in their professional career and family practice duties in their community and civic activities.
Dr. Barag is a 1973 graduate of the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri. He received his certification in family medicine in 1985 and re-certification in 1995. He has served as chair of the family practice department with distinction at two hospitals – Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and San Antonio Community Hospital. Currently he practices family medicine at his Rancho Cucamonga Multi-Specialty Medical Center.
As Sites & Conventions Chair for the California State Society of ACOFP (CA-ACOFP) Dr. Barag has been very helpful and diligent in ACOFP activities and was recently elected to the CA-ACOFP board.
