ACOFP/AOA Annual Convention & Scientific Seminar
September 30 - October 4, 2007
San Diego, California
Learning Anew
In October, the ACOFP/AOA Annual Convention will offer a session on Recognizing Environmental Causes of Illness and Promoting a Healthy Workforce. Media often report the phenomenon of the "sick" workplace where employees report a higher-than-expected rate of illness or disease. Studies have shown that there are some common elements that are shared in these case reports. Family physicians are often the first contact for patients who have health concerns about their workplace. Register for the Convention today!

Geriatric Fellowships for Family Medicine Residents
In the next decade, family practitioners will spend 75 percent of their time caring for the elderly. As a result, specialized geriatrics training will enable you to provide better and more effective patient care and offer better career opportunities.
To meet the growing demand for geriatricians, the New Jersey Institute for Successful Aging at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine offers one- and two-year geriatric fellowships to family medicine residents. Our unique training program will help you sharpen your clinical skills, increase your knowledge of geriatric medicine, and enable you to qualify for academic and administrative positions.
