Residents, Still Time to Attend the 44th Annual Convention & Exhibition

Resident education opportunities during the 44th Annual ACOFP Convention & Exhibition include:

  • The Business of Medicine for Residents and Young Physicians lecture series will present seven addresses. The series is designed for residents with an interest in improving their skills, and increasing reimbursement.
  • OMM Demonstrations.
  • The Exhibit Hall – An opportunity to view the future.  Pharmaceutical companies will be on hand to let you know the details on the newest drugs available to treat common and complicated illnesses.   Add to this the emerging technology being exhibited, plus tools of the trade, and you have a valuable educational opportunity.

Attend the Residency Fair Onsite @ Convention

 Your Residency program needs your support by attending the Residency Fair onsite at the 44th Annual Convention & Exhibition in Kissimmee, Florida.  Students from across the nation will be in attendance, seeking valuable information to help them choose a residency program.   No one is better equipped, than you, to answer questions from students about your residency program.

Welcome Reception for Young Physicians and Third-Year Residents Participating in AOBFP Certification Exam
Advance registration recommended
The ACOFP Young Physicians Committee is hosting a Welcome Reception for all Residents completing the AOBFP certification exam onsite in Kissimmee, and for all young physicians (who have been in practice for 10 years or less) attending the annual convention.

The ACOFP membership information we have on file is also being used as your online directory information.  In order for ACOFP to be able to communicate with you, and also fellow residents, your address and email needs to be current. 

Updating your membership information is as easy as one, two, three:

  1. Go to http://www.acofp.org/Forms/Contact_Update.aspx
  2. Login to the Members only section with your username (AOA/ACOFP ID Number) and password (last name and the year 2002 with no spaces; i.e. smith2002)
    Troubleshooting: Forgot your username and password or don’t know your ID number? No problem. Just enter your email address and ACOFP will instantly email you your credentials.
  3. Once logged in, update your membership information

Professional Growth Opportunity – Become a 2007-2008 ACOFP Committee Member

Expand your professional opportunities by participating at the ACOFP national committee level.  Committees range from Educational Affairs to Public Affairs to Business Affairs.   Many residents choose to serve on the Residents Committee whose primary mission is to seek ways to serve the needs of Resident Members and to involve Resident Members in ACOFP strategic initiatives and activities. Deadline for interest submission is February 28, 2007.
