Set aside time to attend the ACOFP 45th Annual Convention & Exhibition, March 12-16, 2008 in Denver. There are unique programs developed exclusively for residents such as Academic vs. Group vs. Solo Practice, Moonlighting and other Extracurricular Activities, and Contract Negotiations/Reading Contract Language.

Plus don't forget ACOFP Fun Night featuring an Auxiliary Casino Fundraiser
This year’s Fun Night will include local music and food, dancing and entertainment for the entire family as well as a Casino Night. Every Fun Night attendee will receive a raffle ticket and those who participate in Casino Night will have an opportunity to win additional raffle tickets for prizes.  The many prizes for the Auxiliary Casino Night raffle will include a Littmann Stethoscope, an iPod, a camera, a mini-DVD player, an annual ACOFP membership fee, and an ACOFP Convention registration fee.

This workshop will provide an overview on the responsibilities of the Resident Recruiter; activities for Resident Recruiters to participate in locally; share ideas of residency program recruitment tools; enhance the relationship between Resident Recruiters within the osteopathic profession. All Residents are welcome to attend.

On behalf of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) and its Osteopathic Clinical Research Committee, we are asking Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, Students, Family Practice Residents and Faculty Members to participate in the Poster Presentations during the ACOFP 45th Annual Convention & Exhibition on March 12-16, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Denver Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.

What is My ACOFP Member Number & How Do I Get a Membership Card?

Your ACOFP Member Number is your personal passkey to gain access to ACOFP’s resident member services including PDA downloads, The Career Center, and Buyer's Guide.
Remembering your member number is as easy as one, two, three:

  1. Go to www.acofp.org
  2. Login to the Members only section with your username (AOA/ACOFP ID Number) and password (last name and the year 2002 with no spaces; i.e. smith2002)
    Troubleshooting: Forgot your username and password or don’t know your ID number? No problem. Just enter your email address and ACOFP will instantly email you your credentials.
Click on ‘My Membership Card.” A PDF version of your membership card is  produced. Save a copy of your ACOFP Membership Card on your hard drive and print off one copy for your wallet.

The ACOFP Preventive Medicine and Medical Preparedness Committee is pleased to announce the annual Namey/Burnett Preventive Medicine Writing Award competition to honor the best preventive medicine papers submitted by Osteopathic medical students, interns or residents and fellows.

The First Prize winner will receive $500 award, plaque of recognition, round trip airfare to the ACOFP Annual Convention & Exhibition, three nights lodging at the Convention Headquarters Hotel, and the winner will present their paper as part of the Preventive Medicine and Medical Preparedness Committee Lecture. The Second and Third Prize winners will receive $250 award, plaque of recognition, and will have their paper read at the ACOFP Annual Convention & Exhibition.
