The ACOFP Young Physicians Committee is hosting a Welcome Reception for all Residents completing the AOBFP certification exam onsite in Kissimmee, and for all young physicians (who have been in practice for 10 years or less) attending the annual convention.

Also, be sure to check out the Young Physician Business of Medicine Lecture Series during the 44th Annual ACOFP Convention & Exhibition. Seven addresses will be presented, designed specifically for young physicians with an interest in improving their skills, and increasing reimbursement.

For those ACOFP members who have yet to renew your ACOFP membership, the time is now.  Pay your membership dues online in just a few minutes. It is secure, simple and easy.

  2. Log into the member section.
  3. Submit payment.

What is My ACOFP Member Number & How Do I Get a Membership Card?
member card imageYour ACOFP Member Number is your personal passkey to gain access to ACOFP’s member services including PDA downloads, Young Physicians Mentoring Network, and The Career Center. Remembering your member number is as easy as one, two, three:

  1. Go to www.acofp.org
  2. Login to the Members only section with your username (AOA/ACOFP ID Number) and password (last name and the year 2002 with no spaces; i.e. smith2002)  Troubleshooting: Forgot you username and password or don’t know your ID number? No problem. Just enter your email address and ACOFP will instantly email you your credentials
  3. Click on ‘My Membership Card.” A PDF version of your membership card is produced. Save a copy of your Membership Card on your hard drive and print off one copy for your wallet.

Share and Grow Your Expertise Through
The New ACOFP Physician Expert Networks
ACOFP offers 28 Physician Expert Networks (PEN) as a new component of the overall governance structure.  Using an online application at acofp.org, members can select PEN designations from 28 choices (such as Cardiovascular and Pulmonary.)  Once a PEN is formed in a specific area, the network members can regularly communicate via e-mail and via a designated listserv.  PEN’s may be asked to respond to articles published in OFP News, or to serve as speakers.  It is time to tap into the wealth of ACOFP members’ expertise.Submit your Physician Expert Network Profile today!
  1. Log in to the members only section @ www.acofp.org
  2. Submit your Expert Profile.
  3. Select up to three networks, provide information on your speaking/writing activities, and submit your curriculum vitae.
