Participate in a New AOA Practice Managers Task Force
The regulatory and administrative demands on a physicians practice cause a significant strain on physicians' resources and cost the nation's health care system billions of dollars each year. To help address these issues, the AOA is launching a new Practice Managers' Task Force.

They are inviting experienced practice managers to join in the exchange of information on how regulatory issues affect the osteopathic physician's practice. Candidates for the Practice Managers Task Force should be full-time practice managers with experience in dealing with billing and coding, third party payors and Medicare contractors. This Task Force will assist the AOA in developing better data on the impact that federal health care regulations have on osteopathic physician practices.

To sign up for the Practice Managers' Task Force, please email your name, practice address, email, phone and fax number to govt-issues@osteopathic.org. For questions about the Task Force, please call Carol Monaco at 202-414-0140.

ACOFP’s Fit for Life
CNN’s Accent Health says “Be wary of white foods-- bagels, potatoes, breads, pasta and rice.”

Cardiovascular Disease Online CME available through ACOFP
ACOFP has a new online education course available for members “Getting a Leg Up on Cardiovascular Disease”.  This course offers 2 Category 1-B AOA Credit.  It provides physicians information on the risks posed by atherothrombosis and the evidence-based measures that can be taken to improve the recognition and treatment of patients with PAD and post ACS/stroke so as to reduce future MI and stroke.  Register for it today!
