Register Today for the 2008 ACOFP Convention!
This year’s convention will feature a workshop on Five-Minute OMT: Integrating Osteopathic Principles and Practices into the Family Medicine Encounter – A Case Based Approach. This workshop will allow family physicians to include osteopathic principles and practices in their office visits. The presenter will offer case-based learning experiences using the familiar SOAP note format to integrate OMT into the thought process, documentation, and coding of the office encounter. The attendee will gain the ability to clinically apply the knowledge and techniques. The session will be primarily hands-on treatment sessions focused by an interactive didactic session. A rational approach to each office encounter will be proposed, incorporating the basic tenets of osteopathic medicine. Application of functional anatomy, biomechanics and knowledge of the autonomic nervous systems physiological effects will be incorporated. Register today!

Back to Campus
A tragic fire in which a local elementary school was entirely destroyed has the Oklahoma University College of Osteopathic Medicine ACOFP Student Chapter sponsoring a School Supply Drive-- reaching out to fellow students, faculty, and staff to donate crayons, markers, paper, and any other school supplies. They currently have several collection bins placed throughout the campus and will soon be taking those to the school. Ryan D. Sears is the student chapter president at OSUCOM.
