Join colleagues to refresh your knowledge of family medicine clinical topics or to prepare for the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians’ (AOBFP)
Recertification Exam.
This two and a half day course will present an intensive update of the most important
topics in contemporary family medicine. This course features focused, patient-care oriented reviews
delivered by family physician faculty with expertise in specific topic areas such as metabolic
syndrome, asthma and congestive heart failure. These reviews will help improve existing skills,
as well as introduce new or innovative osteopathic modalities.
Also, it's an opportunity to refresh and update osteopathic
manipulative medicine skills during a dedicated half day, hands-on seminar taught by OMM
mentors. As an added bonus, a special session will be held on coding for OMM in clinical practice
to help improve reimbursement for uniquely osteopathic clinical skills.
Program and registration information will be available in Spring, 2008.
For those planning to take the certification or recertification exams, attendees also will have the opportunity to
prepare for the practical portions of these exams during this special session. Please plan to
attend this important educational event to prepare, renew and update family medicine
skills and knowledge.
Note: This program anticipates being approved for AOA Category 1-A CME credits pending
approval by the AOA CME.
