Student Program
H
PF/TIPS Seminar: Advocacy and the Legislative and Regulatory Process
Advocating for or against policies that impact you personally and professionally is a skill well worth mastering early.  The United States Congress is made up of 535 men and women, but only 16 understand what it takes to go to medical school, study for your boards and practice medicine.  Yet Congress is where the decisions affecting the future of medicine are made.  This program will provide participants with the skills and techniques to build relationships with their elected officials, become a resource on health care and become a successful advocate in Washington, DC and at home.

Two important  links for students to remember are www.capwiz.com/aoa-aoia for  Advocacy tools and www.osteopathicpac.org for OPAC.
