Dr. Anderson Elected as Governor For the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL – Larry W. Anderson, DO, FACOFP dist. of Dawsonville, Georgia was elected to the Board of Governors of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians on March 16, 2007 during the ACOFP Annual Convention in Kissimmee, Florida.
The ACOFP is the national organization of more than 25,000 practicing osteopathic family physicians and physicians-in-training.
“Dr. Anderson will contribute his knowledge of legislative and regulatory matters to the Board’s discussions of key issues affecting patients and the profession of osteopathic family medicine,” commented Steven F. Rubin, DO, FACOFP dist., ACOFP President.
Prior to beginning his term as a Governor, Dr. Anderson served national and state osteopathic organizations for 30 years. At the state level, he held the office of President for both the Georgia Society of the ACOFP and the Georgia Osteopathic Medical Association.
Dr. Anderson is a graduate of the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine.
