Future Leaders Conference
The ACOFP Future Leaders Conference is designed for outstanding new physicians or residents who are interested in achieving a greater awareness of their leadership style and its impact on their professional performance.  The Future Leaders Conference creates a learning experience where participants explore key leadership concepts as well as gaining greater self-awareness of their own values and leadership styles. Working with other future leaders, they build a strong community, explore new roles for leaders, identify how to manage with uncertainty and change, and enhance their own commitment and motivation as an osteopathic family physician.  

ACOFP 2012
Attend the New Physician and Resident Educational Track during the Annual Convention. Programs include topics such as Billing and Coding Strategies, Political Advocacy and Health Policy, How to be an Effective Academic Physician and more. 

Poster Session Presentations
The ACOFP 2012 Annual Convention Poster Presentation abstract are due January 31, 2011. The poster presentations are a great way to showcase your information about new investigations, methods and innovative research in osteopathic family medicine. We anticipate that up to 40 posters will be submitted by College of Osteopathic Medicine faculty members, osteopathic family medicine residents and medical students.

Namey/Burnett Preventive Medicine Writing Award Competition
The ACOFP Public Health & Wellness Committee has announced a call for entries to the Seventh Annual Namey/Burnett Preventive Medicine Award Competition.  The award honors the best preventive medicine scientific papers submitted by osteopathic family medicine residents, interns and medical students.  Applicants must be a member of the ACOFP to enter.

Medical Home Webinar - FREE for Residents
Today's Family Medicine Residents will enter a practice environment that is defined by fundamentals of the Patient-Center Medical Home (PCMH). Residents about to enter practice must understand PCMH concepts to help their future practices achieve NCQA recognition and earn increased reimbursement that is available through private and public health care plans.

The ACOFP's new 8-session Blueprints for Building a Medical Home webinar series will provide Family Medicine Residents with the step-by-step methodology for achieving Level 1 NCQA - essential skills that will make Residents more qualified in the future job market.
