ACOFP Women's Institute for Leadership




FEMALE LEADERSHIP AWARD
The award’s purpose is to recognize women physicians who serve as clinical role models, teachers, highly accomplished professional leaders and sources of inspiration for women and men who are in medical training. 

It’s administered through ACOFP’s Committee on Women’s Issues, whose mission is to develop educational and networking opportunities that promote women leadership roles in the osteopathic profession.

To be nominated for the award, a female leader must be in active practice for at least five years and must be a member of the ACOFP.  
completed application, current curriculum vitae and at least one letter of recommendation from an ACOFP member and/or ACOFP state society member is due no later than September 15.

The ACOFP congratulates Sonia Rivera-Martinez, DO, FACOFP, as the recipient of the 2017 Outstanding Female Leader Award, which was given to her during ACOFP’s 54th Annual Convention and Scientific Seminars in Kissimmee, Florida.
